Introducing Shreveport’s Emerging Dance Company

Our Story

Louisiana Dance Collective is an emerging dance ensemble in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Born out of the minds of post-college dancers looking for a place keep up our skills, we offer quality technique classes for experienced dancers ages 17 and over. Have you danced most of your life and now feel homeless without a dance studio to go to? We’re here for you. We’re bringing together professionals of all backgrounds, styles, and genres as we build a new, innovative dance company.

We also focus on reaching out to other organizations in the community for collaborations and performance opportunities. If you crave the stage, you’ll fit right in here. If you’re looking for ways to utilize that hard-earned talent and give back to your community, look no further. We want to construct a strong dance community in northwest Louisiana that pulls in dancers, choreographers, movement professionals, and other artists from across the region. We also want to prove to young local dancers that a thriving dance career is possible here.

Join us as we begin our journey to grow a stronger dance and performing arts community in Shreveport-Bossier. Whether you’re a lifelong student of the art, want to learn more about different genres of dance, or just want to check out some cool performances – we need your support. Together we can create the artistic atmosphere that this area needs and deserves.

Our Mission

The mission of Louisiana Dance Collective is to provide northwest Louisiana with a quality dance company that contributes to the culture and creative community of Shreveport-Bossier.  While providing continuing education for experienced dancers, we also aim to create career opportunities for young dancers in the area that currently do not exist.
